Dr Ginny Humphreys talks with Jo Jex about her research which looked at the views of children with cerebral palsy who used night time postural suppoort. This interview is intended for therapists primarily, but others who have an interest in sleep issues for children with cerebral palsy.
The research was a multiple case-study to explore the views of children on using a sleep system, the role of parents and therapists in its use, and the quality of sleep achieved as a result.
Dr Ginny Humphries is Head of Therapy at Vranch House School and Centre in Exeter, UK. She also holds the position of Head of Profession for Children's Physiotherapy for NHS (National Health Service) Devon.
